Stumptown's first international outpost occupies the ground floor of Ace Hotel Kyoto, a reimagined 1926 telephone exchange building by architect Kengo Kuma. The Portland roaster's full espresso bar showcases their direct-trade beans alongside drip coffee and whole bean retail. In-house pastry program complements the Pacific Northwest coffee culture transplanted to Kyoto's historic center.
